Characteristic

Borneol is a colorless or white transparent flake brittle crystal, or a crystalline powder and block. Soluble in ethanol, chloroform, gasoline, almost insoluble in water.

It has a strong aroma of pine, camphor and mint. It can be sublimated by heat, and can be slowly volatilized at room temperature with burning sensation. The melting point is 208 ° C and the boiling point is 212 ° C

Application
