What is Sodium molybdate

**Introduction to Sodium Molybdate (Anhydrous)** Sodium molybdate (anhydrous), with the chemical formula Na₂MoO₄, is a high-purity inorganic compound widely used in industrial and laboratory applications. This white, crystalline powder is highly soluble in water and serves as a key source of molybdenum, an essential trace element. It functions as an effective corrosion inhibitor in cooling systems, metal finishing, and water treatment. Additionally, sodium molybdate is utilized in agriculture as a micronutrient fertilizer, in chemical synthesis as a catalyst, and in pigments and ceramics. Its stability, low toxicity, and versatility make it a valuable material across multiple industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, and research.

Notes to Physician:
Treat symptomatically and supportively.

Section 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
  General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Extinguishing Media:
Use agent most appropriate to extinguish fire. Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or appropriate foam.

Section 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
